NASAHourly daytime air quality observations from geostationary orbit over North America, measuring ozone, NO₂, HCHO, and aerosols at unprecedented spatial resolution.

The Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) distributes near real-time active fire data from NASA's MODIS (aboard Terra and Aqua) and VIIRS (aboard Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20) instruments. Fire detections are available within 3 hours of satellite overpass at 375-meter and 1-kilometer spatial resolution.
FIRMS data supports wildfire response, smoke forecasting, agricultural fire monitoring, and climate research. The system processes over 1 million fire detections per day during peak fire seasons and provides global coverage through the NASA Earthdata platform.
